Reading RTP correctly
RTP is a provider-published long-term statistic, not a promise for one player or one session.
A higher RTP percentage does not guarantee a win. Short-term results can differ significantly from a game’s long-term statistical rate.
What RTP means
RTP means return to player. It is a long-term statistical percentage for a game, usually published in the game rules or supplied by its provider. It is not a promise of what one person will receive in one session.
A higher RTP percentage can describe a game’s long-term theoretical return across many rounds.
Short-term results can be higher or lower than the long-term figure. A higher-RTP game does not guarantee a win.
Simple RTP example
Example only: if a game has a 96% RTP, its long-term theoretical return across AUD 1,000 of total wagers is AUD 960.
This is the combined amount wagered across many rounds, not the amount one player needs to deposit.
AUD 960 is the theoretical long-term return. The remaining AUD 40 represents the theoretical house edge over that large sample.
One player can still win more, win less or lose their full balance in a short session. Always play within a budget.
How NT77 displays RTP information
NT77 displays RTP information where it has been published by the game supplier. Information is reviewed and updated when the supplier releases updated RTP details; it is not a live feed and is not updated every second or minute.
